Want To Increase The Volume Of Leads You Get From Zillow?

There is a lot on Zillow that you can do to market your listings and yourself, for free.  But what if you really want to stand out?  What if you want to grow the number of leads generated on the site?  What if you want to maximize your exposure to the nearly 11 million people that visit Zillow each month?  Then the Premier Agent program may be for you.

First, let me start by saying what this program is NOT. It is NOT a system where you pay for leads.  Any lead a user sends through Zillow goes directly to the person they intended to receive it, regardless of whether the agent is a paying customer or not. 

What it IS - a system to help increase the number of ZIP code targeted leads.  Premier Agents receive a 17 times lift in lead volume verses agents participating in the free listing exposure program.  Each month they pay a set, contracted monthly advertising fee. 

The Premier Agent program is a system where the agent designates a ZIP code in which they would like to increase their exposure.  Zillow will surface the agent in a number of creative ways within that ZIP to drive more awareness and contacts to that agent.  For example, remember on Zillow that we have a database of all homes, not just those that are on the market.  So we can display agents in their chosen ZIP codes on homes that are not for sale, to drive CMA leads. 

Premier agents also recieve special treatment to their personal listings.  The listings will be Featured, meaning that they show up at the top of user search results (think about the difference of being on the first page of a search engine's search result, verse the third page).  And on the listing detail pages themselves, the listing agent gets an enhanced contact module, with an extra large photo and larger lead form. 

 

There are other benefits to the program, but I would encourage you to call 866-324-4005 and speak to one of our account managers to get a full understanding of what the potential is in your farm area.  The cost to participate varies across ZIP codes. This program was completely reworked in April of this year.  So if you were a past customer, it is different.  And if you are an existing customer, I would encourage you call your account manager to get an update.

Thanks for the information. The Zesitmate has been a point of contention for many agents and their clients, but my current opinion is that it forces us, as agents, to explain the concept of appraisal and market value in more detail to our clients and prospects.

I must admit, I was quite skeptical on the value of Zillow for agents, but have heard other agents in my office who are getting positive results.  I will definitely be giving this strong consideration.

Hey all - Thanks for considering the program.  I can tell you that the agents who are participating are seeing serious increases in response.  And again, these are leads where the person is specifically opting to send a lead to you.  They are not generic leads that get sold to various people.  And the are leads from people in different phases of the real estate purchase cycle, such as CMA leads to property leads.

Good description of Zillow from the Agent's perspective.  An agent recently asked me to add a link to Zillow from his website.  I asked him if he wanted to drive traffic to his competitors, not a good idea.  We decided to open the link in a new window, so his visitors would not be lost.

Hey George - This is sort of off-topic of the blog post, but you should check out this link in response to your comment: http://www.zillow.com/cobrand/.  If an agent wants to include the link, opening in a new window is a good solution.  But to make it even better they can include this co-branding, so a link back to the originating site will appear across the top of the page the whole time the user is surfing Zillow.  (free service)

Always a way to sell leads to agent.  Is a nver stopping cycle.. I get at least 3-5 calls a week -about buying leads.

I can vouch for Zillow, one of the best companies for generating leads.  I've had more impact and results from Zillow then Trulia or Realtor.com

I have actually had more success with Active Rain and Trulia. I have a Zillow Account (relatively new) and I know it gets more visitors BUT, Active Rain is very well optimized for the search engines AND Trulia is the online real estate page for the Washington Post (local paper). So if I want local, Trulia is kicking BUTT!

Thanks for using my ad. I am taking out a buyer tomorrow. Fourth of July weekend is ending up like Memorial Day was. Busy, partly with leads generated by Zillow. Why I think I am successful with Zillow is a result of attending one of your sessions. Its just not paying  but learning how to use all the tools Zillow offers agents, how to best use them  resulting in an optimize online presence. 

If I did not do all the rest, I don't think paying would be worth it. You cannot expect to pay, get leads and close. Like everything else it is work. 

An example is I have gotten leads through Zillow as a result of my other social networking efforts.

Thanks. Just got back from showings with a lead I got yesterday from Zillow. We should be going to contract on something by the middle of next week. 

I would find it interesting to see if leads go up on holiday weekends.

Numbers don’t matter as much as results. Focus on conversion strategies over building volume. Because if you’re not setup to convert, the volume won’t help you one bit.
